GRAPHIC DESIGNER INTERNSHIP
The purpose of this internship is to work closely with management to provide specific graphic requirements for apparel, online content and hard goods.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Graphics
- Design and develop graphics for seasonal apparel and hard goods for global ranges with direction from the Creative Director.
- Undertake market research and analysis using media, shopping, internet, travel, market feedback etc. to establish graphic concepts, ideas and artwork.
- Regularly communicate with Design Team Members to gather feedback and briefs on graphic concepts and ideas as needed.
- Utilize available resources to develop graphic concepts and ideas based on briefs from Design Teams.
- Safety and Security
- Follow safe and healthy work practices.
- Participate in consultation and training on safety and security issues in your work area.
- Cooperate with the company at all times by agreeing to follow the health safety and security policies and procedures which are set for the workplace.
- Other responsibilities & duties
- Other tasks may be assigned from time to time which contribute to the overall success of the company
Requirements:
- Qualifications in Graphic Art.
- Capacity to “draw” utilizing a range of commercial programs e.g. Photoshop, Freehand, Acrobat, Illustrator, Indesign etc.
- Experience in graphic design particularly relating to apparel, product and hardgoods
- Demonstrated experience in solving problems and developing a range of suitable outcomes
- Self starter with proven attention to detail and accuracy.
- Team member with strong work ethics, flexible in approach and supportive of others
- Capacity to operate effectively in an environment of competing demands
- Display passion and motivation for a dynamic work environment
