Social Media Internship


This is a valuable opportunity for a college student to get exposure to all of the major online marketing channels including paid search, affiliate marketing, banner and Facebook ads, email marketing, and social media. They will get hands-on, real world experience helping to build these channels to drive overall company success. This person will spend a lot of time helping build out our keyword set in paid search: what keywords we are buying on Google. They will be doing website prospecting looking at relevant blogger sites to partner with for our affiliated program. They will help to be doing some competitive analysis on what other clothing retailers are doing on the web. There will be projects that test their analytical side, and those that cause them to think more creatively.


Primary Responsibilities Include:
• Help manage and optimize all of the core levers of search engine marketing particularly keyword research and addition, but also ad copy writing and testing, bid management, account structure, and landing page optimization.
• Expansion of keyword set through use of Google search query reporting, third party keyword tools, and competitive analysis.
• Build out affiliate prospect list. Find sites that would be a good fit to partner with, and help recruit them to our affiliate program.
• Developing/Researching new online acquisition opportunities.
• Keep track of online and offline social activities that support social marketing among industry leaders and competitive set.
• This person will help to grow some of our earlier stage marketing channels.
• Generally performs single-function tasks that tend to be of small to moderate size and scope. Works under close supervision with limited latitude for independent judgment. 


Requirements:
• Must be enrolled in an accredited academic college, university or trade school program, with degree in process.
• Major preferably in Economics, Business, Marketing or a related field.
• Must be eligible for school credit (and able to supply a letter from sponsor/administrator upon request)
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Experience in Microsoft Excel is preferred.
• High attention to detail and superior time management.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately.
• Excellent communications skills, particularly written.
